Evidence first

Ancient Gold separates what an object directly shows from published attribution and editorial interpretation. Missing facts remain clearly marked rather than reconstructed.

Evidence labels

Documented means the information is recorded in the object file or visible on the object. Attributed identifies a conclusion supported by typology, inscriptions or published catalogues. Interpretation marks contextual analysis. Not recorded means the present record does not contain reliable evidence for the field.

Sources and citation

Object records and essays cite standard catalogues, primary texts and authoritative public research resources where they materially support an attribution or claim. External links are provided for discovery and do not imply institutional endorsement.

Revisions and corrections

Substantive updates are reviewed, dated and described on the relevant essay or object record. Readers who can document a correction are invited to use the contact form and identify the record, statement and supporting source.

Responsible presentation

Public records omit private certification numbers and personal inquiry data. Image credits and rights follow the statement on each source page. Provenance is published only when it is documented.
