The Story Behind the Strike
This second solidus of Constans was struck at Aquileia and preserves a distinct ceremonial reverse. Two Victories support a votive wreath, an image rooted in imperial anniversaries and public promises for continued rule. The star designation and strong surfaces preserve the clarity of a type designed to make dynastic stability appear shared, celebrated and divinely favoured.
